My newest creations! The moon Goddess Dolls. It started when I was gong through the faces I had left from making the Doll I was working on and I had 4 teal blue faces. I held them and thought this is a series of 4 goddesses but what?
So I took these faces and placed them on my moon/seasonal/zodiac wheel not thinking what I was doing and as I stepped back to see what I had done I was in ah!
Yes Moon phase Goddess Dolls.
So Here we have the Dark/New moon, Waxing 1st Quarter moon, Full moon and Waning last Quarter moon. Each Goddess holds a sacred stone and plant medicine for these phases.
These are also connected to the Aramaic teachings of the moon, Mary Magdalene and the Gnostic Teachings.
With the Dark moon we come into the Void and this is called Riqan in Aramaic. A time to be completely empty. A time to set your intentions and plant your seeds of what you want to grow and work with.
The Waxing Quarter/First Quarter is Commitment, Nidria . This is a time for making commitments and reinforcing them. this is a time that bring transition and can interrupt energy and not necessarily in a bad way.
Full Moon connecting to Niqubta the Divine Feminine Mysteries Wisdom. A time of celebration, connecting to that divine wisdom within feeling a sense of enlightenment. A kundalini awakening. What ever sign this Full moon is in it can bring infinite wisdom to you and a beautiful time to connect to Mary Magdalene.
The last moon phase is the Last Quarter/ Waning Quarter and this is Razia connecting to the mysteries and secret, and shadow. This is a time to look at the hidden secrets and shadows that don't allow us to move forward in our lives. Taking time to see in the lunar cycle the shadow in that time.
These creations bring so much joy to create and work with. The Doll is my favorite keyform in Weaving a Life. This connection to the soul, connection to the Goddess within and the Spirit that dwells within. These Dolls are an anchor to what our soul/ spirit is calling for us to work with or recognize and express.
I have posted these for sale on my website and they have the list of sacred stones and plant medicine that is in each of them.
Till next time
may your day be blessed with light and creative inspiration
Jess
