The shawl the last of the Weaving a Life keyforms. My journey with this keyform was amazing and humbling, as I went down memory lane and connected to 10 golden moments of my life. The memories that came up, warmed my heart.
Then years later I created a meditation shawl for my self weaving the Chakra colors in each panel.
The Shawl is practicing awareness, transforming your beliefs about yourself.
The shawl is also connected to the rites of passage of death. This is a garment worn in meditation into the inner life and also something worn when we die, we are wrapped in.
The Shawl is not woven all at once. It is woven in time with intention. This is the practice of love for yourself. The shawl is worn in meditation, ceremony, or to keep one self warm. It is a still point where you find comfort and quiet sacred space while you go about your work of transforming your life.
For me this was a beautiful journey to embark to connect with myself and see the transformation that had happened within me. Now I have this beautiful Golden moments shawl as a keepsake that represents me and those special moments in my life. Will I make another? Absolutely I have many more golden moments to connect to and weave their story in fiber and thread on the loom and bring together into the form of a beautiful shawl. These are moments in our lives that make us who we are!
